A departmental seminar and workshop on Bibliometric Analysis was held on 13.05.2022. Resource person- Mr. Arjuna Kumar Maharana
School of Commerce organised an awareness program on the available government schemes for weavers. The program was organized in Kardola Village on 06/08/2022, where most of the villagers are weavers.
An attempt to set up a virtual court with Judges and Lawyers from the students. The case "Vodafone International Holding v. Union of India" was discussed. Surprised to actualize the arguments of our students.
The students and research scholars, under the supervision of Dr. Priyabrata Panda, visited the slums area of Gujurati Colony, Sambalpur, and surveyed the awareness of the residents on the different financial products, and services provided by banks and other financial Institutions.
The School of Commerce organized a visit to the orphanage at Govindtola Anand Ashram on 28.10.2021. The visit was accompanied by PG Council Chairman Prof. Sushant Kumar Dash, Head of the School of Commerce Dr. Priyabrata Panda, Dr Pradosh Kumar Acharya, Head of School of Botany along with the research scholars and the students from different semesters of the School. Faculties and students discussed the opportunities in commerce education among the inmates of the Ashram. Students has spent quality time with the inmates and distributed study materials.
On 15.4.2021 the faculties of the School of Commerce visited Ghanshyam Hemalta Vidyamandir School at Jharsugada. Prof. Shyama Charan Acharya, Dr. Mukesh Sharma, Dr Priyabrata Panda along with Scholar Mr Arjuna Kumar Moharana visited the school to awaring about career avenues in Commerce. The teachers of the department discussed and interacted with the students on various career opportunities after completion of the 12th Commerce
A two-days national workshop on case teaching and writing was held on 16th &17th December 2022. Prof Trilochan Tripathy was the resource person
An art exhibition and food festival was organised on 20.01.2023.
An awareness program on online marketing was held on 02.12.2023. It was conducted with the help of PG students.
A poster presentation on research methodology by UG and PG students was held on 18.12.2023.
A written business quiz competition was held in the school of commerce on 22nd July, 2022 in room no. 117. More than 60 students of different semesters participated in the quiz which was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Priyabrata Panda, Head of the School of Commerce. Research scholars of the department Arjun Maharana, Satyaranjan Garu, Pooja Bai Kewat and Smitisikha Guru assisted in organizing the event. Mr. Subash Chandra Jhankar, Assistant Professor and Mr. Arjun Kumar Maharana, Phd Scholar of School of Commerce coordinated the event.
