Two Day International Conference on " New Frontiers in Economic and Financial Research"

Date: 30-01-2024 to 31-01-2024 Outline: Economic issues are integral to our material life and often enter the public discourse. Economic research has made significant progress in every sphere of economics related to our life and nation’s well-being. Economic research is not specific to quantifiable human behavior but broadens its scope to qualitative and non-quantifiable human behavior. Currently, economic research covers very broad but heterogeneous study areas. Footprints of progress in research related to human behavior form a separate branch of research, namely Behavioral economics. Research in firm behavior falls under Industrial Organization/economics. New dimensions of research have started on environmental economics and energy economics. Macroeconomic research broadly explains the business cycle and inflation- unemployment dynamics. In addition, much research tries to elucidate poverty, unemployment, human mobility, social marginalization, inequality, and sub- themes of micro-setting. Similarly, we can find stream of research to describe agricultural problems, industry sector issues, and problems related to banking, finance, and international trade. At the same time, development in econometric methodology and techniques acquire specific place in every economic research. The two-day international conference 'New Frontiers in Economic and Financial Research.’ The conference's objective is to engage young researchers in Odisha in academic discourse on recent developments in economic analysis. We believe that this conference will go a long way in developing an intellectual pursuit and discourse.
