I am struck by the significance of my roots and the path I've chosen. As a member of a tribal community, I have always been deeply connected to the cultural and social aspects of my people. This connection fuelled my passion for anthropology, leading me to earn an MSc in the field. My research on the prevalence of anaemia among the Paudi Bhuyan community has broadened my perspective on the diversity and complexity within tribal societies. Now, as I pursue a PhD at Gangadhar Meher University, Sambalpur, I am committed to deepening my understanding and contributing to meaningful change, particularly in the areas to which I belong. This journey is not just academic for me—it's a continuation of my commitment to using knowledge to uplift and empower my people.
My name is Hemalata Agrawalla, I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. as a research scholar in the School of Anthropology at Gangadhar Meher University, Sambalpur, under the supervision of Dr. Meera Swain. I am dedicated to my research and passionate about uncovering new insights that can contribute to the field of anthropology. Throughout my academic journey, I have demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence and a deep curiosity about human cultures and societies.
I holds an MA, MPhil, and UGC NET qualification in Anthropology. My research expertise lies in the fields of geriatrics and tribal studies, which explores the intersection of aging and the cultural, social, and health-related aspects of indigenous communities.

I am Flora Pattanayak, Research Scholar from School of Anthropology at Gangadhar Meher University, Sambalpur. My research area focuses on the nutritional status among adolescent girls towards their menstrual health. This is employing a mixed-method approach that includes both qualitative as well as quantitative reseatch. I'm very much ambitious about making significant contributions to improving adolescent girls health and well-beings.
I'm a research scholar at Gangadhar Meher University, and I want to become an assistant professor. Basically, I've got a social anthropology background. My research area is tribal studies like ethnography and ethnicity.

I am Swapnasarita Sethy, PhD scholar, Department of Anthropology, Ganganagar Meher University, Sambalpur, Odisha, under the guidance of Dr. Minaketan Bag, Assitant Professor, Ganganagar Meher University, Sambalpur. I am dedicated my research work. My area of research is on Maritime Anthropology. I have completed M.Sc. in Anthropology and M.Phil. in Anthropology from Central University, Odisha and Utkal University, Odisha respectively. I have also qualified UGC NET examination in Anthropology in the year 2022 and awarded NFSC Fellowship from UGC.
Nearing completion of her PhD in Anthropology, Rojalin Sahu studies the Morbidity and health seeking behaviour of elderly population in slums of Behrampur city of Odisha. Published one article in Scopus indexed journal namely Online Journal of Health & Allied Sciences and second article in journal of South Asian Anthropologists.
