About

Dr. Nirupama Sahoo (born in 1987) completed her M.A. in Statistics at Utkal University, where she received a gold medal for her focus on econometrics. Her doctorate in philosophy was awarded by Utkal University in Bhubaneswar. She holds a Ph.D. in sampling theory. She oversaw two Ph.D. students and the M.Phil. Project with success. She authored two books and twenty-five papers that were published in various national and international publications. She participated in several workshops, seminars, and conferences both domestically and abroad. She effectively planned webinars, seminars, workshops and extension programmers. She successfully completed one minor research project. She was invited as external member and to deliver various talks on statistics by various universities and colleges. She holds lifetime memberships in the Indian Society for Probability & Statistics, the Indian Society of Agricultural Statistics, PUSA, New Delhi, and the Society of Statistics, Computer and Applications, New Delhi. She is currently employed at Gangadhar Meher University in Amruta Vihar, Sambalpur, 768004, Odisha, as an Assistant Professor of statistics.
