 Since 2020, Dr. Suprava Nayak has been a part of the Gangadhar Meher University School of Chemistry.  Dr. Nayak earned her master degree in Chemistry from Ravenshaw College, Cuttack in 2001 and PhD in Chemistry from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar in 2008 under the able guidance of Prof Anadi C Dash,Emeritus Scientist CSIR. After Receiving her doctorate degree, she worked as a Dr.D S Kothari Post Doctoral research Fellow (UGC) at Osmania University, Hyderabad, India from 2008 to 2011. In 2012, she did another Post-doc from Center for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD), Hyderabad. Subsequently, she started her teaching career in the year 2013 as an Assistant Professor at CMR Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, thereafter, worked at Government College Sundargarh, Odisha, from 2014 till 4th May 2020 before joining Gangadhar Meher University, Sambalpur. During her tenure at Govt. College Sundargarh, she was selected for Summer Research Fellow (in Teacher Category) by Indian Academie's of Science and worked with Prof. P. S. Mukherjee in the Inorganic-Physical Chemistry Laboratory of Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Dr. Nayak qualified both GATE  and NET national level exams for Chemistry in the year 2001. She received “Association of Kineticist Award” in 2003 & 2004 by Indian Chemical Society. Recently she received "Best Interactive Teacher Award" at the AEP programme at Ravenshaw University, Cuttack. Her research interests encompass a wide range of topics, that includes:  Synthesis of (i) Amide-based high valent transition metal complexes, (ii) Metal-organic-frameworks, (iii) Hybrid Inorganic and organic composites and study of their properties, (2) Investigation of Reaction Kinetics and Mechanism. Furthermore, her record of publishing several research papers in different reputed national and international journals and conferences is Excellent.
