- The treasure trove of the Indian knowledge system is pre- eminently codified in the medium of Sanskrit, perhaps the oldest of the languages in the world. The Vedas, the invaluable knowledge documents handed down over millennia are considered not only the earliest source of Indian wisdom, but also the source of most of the later knowledge systems evolved on this land. Besides the six Vedangas, the ancillary treatises of the Vedas, the Ayurveda, the Dhanurveda, the Gandharvaveda, and the Astadasavidya, the eighteen acclaimed disciplines of knowledge and so on are directly or indirectly linked to the Vedas. There is no end to researches in the areas of several such disciplines. A similar humble attempt is also made in the present Research Book to compile some research studies done by Learned Researchers in different Indian knowledge systems for the benefit of Scholars.
